We make it a
priority to keep the system working with the worlds largest
web-mail systems.
Is there a web-mail system you
want Zendit to work with? We will do our best to get it
supported!
But... Remember, Zendit is a free
service for personal use, we currently do not make any money
from individual users so we will need your assistance and patience
in getting your web-mail system to work.
What web-mail
are you using? Depending
on your answer, there are several ways you can help us.
Already supported sites:
If it is a web-mail system that we are already working with,
then this is an issue we will fix once we know the name of the
web-mail system. email
support@zendit.com the name of the web-mail provider you are
using.
Unsupported web-mail systems:
In order for us to Zendit-enable a web-mail system we
don't already work with, we need to have an account with the
web-mail provider so we can analyze the pages and customize
our system to work with them.
If the web-mail system you want
supported is a free service, no need to read on—just send
us
support@zendit.com the name of the provider and we will work
on it.
If it is not a free service
(if it's an ISP or an email provider that charges per month or per
year), we generally work with our users to figure out
how to get it working asap, here are some of the ways we have
worked this out with Zendit users in the past:
| |
a)
Contact your ISP or web-mail provider and let them know you
want to use Zendit with your web-mail system (and by the way
they should offer this to all their users, both individual and
business users!). Ask that they promote Zendit
/Privacy of email and give Zendit a free account for ever and
ever so we can always support their web-mail! You could also
let the provider know that Zendit does indeed like to partner
with web-mail providers, we will give them a commission of any
license fees they bring in for corporate users. If the
provider is interested, the provider should send the new
account info (user name and password) to
support@zendit.com and if they want to partner with us for
business users, they should email our corporate people at
partners@authora.com. |

b) What
if you
don't want to wait for your provider to figure out how
important this is? Some Zendit users have sent us money
for establishing a 1 year account with the web-mail system
they use. Others have done it on their own for us
and they send us the account information (user name and
password). The cool thing about this is once we get your
email working, everyone else in your web-mail system benefits
as well. |

c) In
some cases Zendit users are in such a hurry and have trusted
us enough to give us access (their user name and password) to
their account for about 24 hours (depends on how long it takes
to get it working). Once we've got it working we inform the
use and they change their password. Of course, most people
are uncomfortable with this option...) |
If you don't want to do any of the above, then the last
option is a bit of a pain on your part—we need screenshots and
source of the pages you use in your web-mail system. Including
"compose" and "read message" pages. If you want info on how to do
this let us
support@zendit.com know and we will send you all the gory
details.
We look forward to hearing what you decided to do... once we hear
back, we will get your web-mail system Zendit-enabled as soon as
we can.
